The Assassin’s Creed video game series is one of the most iconic gaming universes ever created. And on December 21 st, it finally gets the big screen treatment it deserves in an incredible new movie of the same name. In the film, Michael Fassbender stars as Callum Lynch, a man who realizes that he is the direct descendant of a member of a secret society of assassins in 15 th century Spain. By using revolutionary technology, Callum is able to tap into the genetic memories he inherited from his ancestor, Aguilar, and acquire his deadly skill set as well, transforming himself into a very powerful assassin in the modern world. Assassin’s Creed features an all-star cast that also includes Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, and Brendan Gleeson. The film opens December 21 st and should be a fun and exciting alternative to all the sad or sappy awards season fodder getting released around the same time.
