The letter, shared on Redditearlier this week by the father of the boy who passed away, was also confirmed by Mayhew in a recent interview with Radio Times. "Liam’s grandmother is a friend of my wife’s sister," Mayhew said. "My wife’s sister reached out to me with his story. I hope my words were of some comfort to him."
The boy, named Sam, was reportedly killed in an accident. His older sister also took to Reddit to express gratitude regarding Mayhew’s letter and its impact on such a trying time for family and friends, as quoted by Mashable:
