It’s the end of the world as we know it. Well, that is, if you believe this online Christian group. The Daily Dot reports that an internet-based website called eBible Fellowship claims the world will end this Wednesday—which is today.

“According to what the Bible is presenting it does appear that 7 October will be the day that God has spoken of: in which, the world will pass away,” leader and founder of the fellowship Chris McCann, said. “It’ll be gone forever. Annihilated.”

The website previously predicted the End of Days on May 11, 2011 and, by evidence of our mere existence, that didn’t happen. The Fellowship (not of the Ring) says that the May 11 date was actually the day that "God shut the door of heaven."  And, now Oct. 7 is the last day of the ingathering, which marks exactly 1,600 days since May 11, 2011. So, they’re not quite calling the May date a failure but the beginning of the end.

The number 1,600 is referenced in Revelation 14:20 (but they meant 1,600 stadia, or 200 Roman miles, but we’re just gonna go with it) when the Bible talks about Judgment Day. The group says on October 7, "that God will gather into heaven all the precious fruit of all those He has saved and complete the destruction of all those He did not save."

Curious minds can head over to the Facebook group called Will the World End October 7th, 2015. As for McCann, he’s sticking to his story despite the naysayers. "There’s a strong likelihood that this will happen; Which means there’s an unlikely possibility that it will not.”
