Forget about Planet of the Apes, a new study says we're heading more toward a Planet of the Fish, when the human race will bow town to their new gill-necked masters.

Actually, that's a huge, ridiculous exaggeration, but there is a study that suggests fish might be evolving to evade capture by the nets on commercial fishing ships (and that's the first step!).

According to Timethe research from the University of Glasgow shows that the fish are becoming fitter, faster swimmers, which could lead to physiological changes in fish populations over time.  Basically, survival of the fittest is weeding out the weak fish and creating generations of hard-to-catch fish that can evade the trawler's nets.

I, for one, welcome our new fish overlords.
