X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer continues to dole out news on the upcoming film via social media. Last night Singer took to Instagram to announce Kodi Smit-McPhee will play Young Nightcrawler. The 18-year-old Australian actor is best known for playing the boy in The Road.
Following Singer's lead Smit-McPhee shared his excitement on his own Instagram account with the caption: "I am humbled and honored to be joining this incredible project and to be able to tell the story of the well respected young mutant Nightcrawler. Thank you Bryan Singer, and the passionate Xmen fans."

Smit-McPhee gets a pass on missing the hyphen this time. But he better be ready for the trolls if he misses it again.
