X-Men: Apocalypse director Brian Singer has announced the franchise's new Storm, Jean Grey and Cyclops.
Alexandra Shipp (above) most recently gained fame for playing the late R&B star Aaliyah in that Lifetime biopic. Sophie Turner is known for playing Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, and Tye Sheridan is probably best know for playing one of the kids who befriends Matthew McConaughey in Mud.
We knew this day was probably coming, but it's always kind of weird when new actors take over the role of the iconic characters you've been associating with a different face for more than a decade. Of course, this doesn't 100 percent rule out the return of Famke Janssen, James Marsden or Halle Berry in some way, but that depends on whether or not there's a flashback or time-shifting element to the next film.
