An Arizona woman who faked her own abduction told police that she did it to get out of planning her boyfriend's birthday party, among other things.

According to AZ Family, Jennifer Alvarez, 36, vanished from her home near Casa Grande, Ariz. on Tuesday. Her boyfriend called the Pinal County Sheriff's Office after finding blood inside of the home and learning that his two guns had been taken. However, a man reached out to police after getting word of Alvarez's disappearance, explaining that she had spent the night at his house prior to him dropper her off at an Arizona City home.

Pinal County deputies later found Alvarez at her home. It's there that she spun several tall tales about why she went AWOL:

PCSO spokesman Jim Knupp said the first related to her feeling overwhelmed by the thought of having to plan her boyfriend's birthday party, which was set to occur on Monday night, so she left. She explained that a dental filling fell out, which caused her mouth to bleed.

Knupp said after being challenged on this story, Alvarez told deputies that two men came to her home to visit. One of them asked to use the restroom during which time he stole her boyfriend's handgun and AR15.

After noticing the weapons were missing, Alvarez said she feared her boyfriend would be angry so she wanted it to look as if something may have happened to her. She then told deputies that she threw a cellphone on the ground, scratched the inside of her gums to cause them to bleed and left a blood trail leading out of the residence.

Alvarez eventually admitting to faking her own kidnapping. Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu told AZ Family that his office plans to file charges against her.
