Despite arresting a former Power Ranger over the weekend, authorities in California are still unsure of whether he should be charged with murder.

According to the New York Daily News, 36-year-old Ricardo Medina, Jr. was released from jail after being arrested for allegedly stabbing his roommate with a sword. Joshua Sutter, 36, died following the confrontation at their Santa Clarita, Calif. apartment on Saturday night. Police sources told TMZ that Sutter was upset that Medina's girlfriend had spent time at their apartment while Medina was not present, but police told the Daily News that they cannot confirm the root of the argument.

Medina was released following the District Attorney's decision to reject the case. He has since issued an apology:

I’m very, very, very sorry for what occurred, Medina told reporters outside the Antelope Valley jail, according to KTLA. I’m very happy to be out of jail, and my heart goes out to the Sutter family.
