Jared Leto definitely does him. Dude wins an Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club, but instead of taking another acting role (and were sure there were plenty offered at that point) he adopts a hobo Jesus look and goes on tour with his rock band 30 Seconds to Mars. Respect.
But now The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Leto is ready to come back to acting, possibly in the role of the classic DC Comics villain The Joker in the upcoming Warner Bros. film Suicide Squad.
If you're not familiar, the deal with Suicide Squad is they're a team of supervillains who work doing high-risk black ops for the government in order to get out of their prison sentences. The current comic book incarnation of the team includes Harley Quinn, Deadshot and Joker's Daughter.
With the type of transformation Leto pulled off in Dallas Buyers Club, we're pretty sure he would kill this. It would also make him the third Academy Award winning actor to play the character after Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger.
Suicide Squad is set to come out Aug. 5, 2016.
