A Liberian man thought to be dead from Ebola woke up just in time to discover that a burial team was wiping him down with bleach and preparing to take wrap him in plastic.
As has been an ongoing issue in countries affected by the virus, there simply weren’t enough resources to help them man while he was "alive." The burial teams are standing at the ready though, and within a few minutes of this man’s supposed “death” they were onsite and ready to go.
As they prepped him for hauling away, however, his hand moved and someone screamed “he’s alive!” An ambulance arrived on scene and took him away within 10 minutes, although given the number of patients right now it’s no sure thing he will receive the treatment he needs.
Still, it's a small sign of hope in what is becoming an increasingly bleak and sad situation.
