This situation is getting intense.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the man believed to be the last person to see a University of Virginia student before she went missing.

It's been over a week since 18-year-old Hannah Graham disappeared. She was last seen on surveillance footage during the early hours of Sep. 13 with Jesse L. "L.J." Matthew. However, it's worth noting that the warrant for Matthew's arrest is for a reckless driving charge, not Graham's disappearance.

Still, the Associated Press reports that Matthew was at the police station in Charlottesville, Va. on Saturday with his family, where he asked for a lawyer. After departing the station, police who followed Matthew say he led them on a brief chase.

After acting on search warrants, police inspected his car and vehicle a day prior. Authorities are currently awaiting the results of forensics tests performed on the vehicle.
