Brittany Murphy's biopic is going to be awful. That much is clear from the trailer. Even Murphy's own father is upset with it already, though he seems to be taking out his anger on the wrong person. In his frustration Angelo Bertolotti has fired off a string of nasty tweets and retweets about Amanda Fuller, the actress who plays his daughter in the upcoming TV movie.
My daughter #brittanymurphy would be horrified to know who they chose to play her and how cheap it all is. pic.twitter.com/XJU27gu9a6

Seems cruel doesn't it? The problem seems to be that the movie was done by an unauthorized independent filmmaker with a tiny budget; not with Fuller herself. How he can expect anything other than a hack job in 16 days of filming with hardly any money is beyond us. Fuller was only given two days to prepare.
For her part, Fuller is handling the cyber bullying well, even though she had to block Bertolotti on Twitter. "I would have loved to have months of preparation and time to get down to a really skinny [body] so I could portray her physcially better," she told The Wrap. "And we would have loved to have had more money and more time for vocal lessons and stuff like that. But in the end, I think it became less of it being a look-alike piece and more about just trying to capture the essence of who she was."
