Keri Russell and Andy Serkis Talk "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" at the Movie's NYC Premiere

Video interviews with Andy Serkis and Keri Russell at the "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" NYC premiere.

Back in 2011, Rise of the Planet of the Apes took everyone by surprise. A prequel to a beloved series that never should have worked, the film became a critical and box office hit, prompting 20th Century Fox to quickly put a sequel into production. Now, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has finally hit theatres and the reception is equal to, if not greater than, what its predecessor saw.

Taking place ten years after Rise, Dawn sets its story in a world largely populated by apes, with the mighty Caesar leading the charge. A small group of human survivors exist, but they'll soon but heads with the fierce animals, causing an all-out war between the two species where only one side can emerge victorious.

Earlier this week in New York, our friends at We Got This Covered stopped by the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes red carpet premiere and caught up with stars Keri Russell and Andy Serkis.

Check out the video above. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is in theaters today.
