Marilyn Manson will play a white supremacist prison leader on the upcoming final season of the FX biker gang series Sons of Anarchy

The shock rocker, who seems to be spending more and more time in front of the camera lately, will have a recurring role in the seventh season, which is set to begin in September.

Manson has appeared on HBO's Eastbound and Down as a "roller skating nerd" (according to Kenny Powers), and played himself in several episodes of the Showtime series Californication last season.

In a news release, Manson said he took the role in part because his dad is a big fan of the show.

"Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father's," Manson said. "So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema.  After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle."

Turns out being a good son and the "antichrist superstar" are not mutually exclusive.
