Last year, a potential shortage of chicken wings threatened Super Bowl parties everywhere. This year's concern is a national scarcity of Velveeta.
According to Ad Age, shortages were reported at a few East Coast grocery stores. An employee at store in the Brooklyn-area told Ad Age that shipments would be delayed until February due to a plant issue. Kraft spokeswoman Judy Moore, responded to Ad Age's request for comment in an email:
None
Moore attempted to calm concerns, explaining that "high demand" around this time of year drove the shortage, but insisted that it's a "short-term issue." Dip-lovers across the nation hope so.
