Excited for the upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes? Good news for you, then: You also have a third sequel to look forward to after! According to Vulture, a third Planet of the Apes movie is in the works, and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes director, Matt Reeves, will indeed be back to helm it. He will reportedly write the script as well, along with one of the writers from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Mark Bomback.
Reeves originally took over the franchise from Rupert Wyatt, who directed 2011's Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
As Deadline reports, Reeves is expected to go straight to work on the third film now, as the "directing deal is done and the writer deals are being worked out right now," and the film is a priority for the studio because of the box office gross expected.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will hit theaters on July 11, 2014.
