So apparently Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is good. So good, in fact, that after 20th Century Fox began early screenings of the movie, the executives immediately signed up director Matt Reeves to helm a third installment in the reinvigorated franchise, according to Deadline. Reeves is also in the process of signing a deal to write the third installment, along with Mark Bomback, who also wrote Dawn.

Deadline is also reporting that Reeves will likely go right into directing the next installment, which is now a top priority for the studio. Usually directors are signed to sequels after a movie is deemed financially successful, so Fox’s quick turnaround after seeing an early cut of Dawn should definitely be seen as a good sign.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will hit theaters on July 11.
