Quentin Tarantino's Next Movie Will Be a Western

He will conceive of it while relaxing in his pool.

Quentin Tarantino, not dressing like Drake x Eastbay, told Jay Leno about his next movie on last night's Tonight Show

A Dada-less QT told Leno: "I haven't told anyone this publicly, but I will say the genre: It's a western." (Note: It won't be a sequel to Django Unchained.) Because Tarantino speaks genre, this is more informative than, say, the Coens announcing that their next motion picture will be about failure. Immediately, Letterboxd devotees begin scanning titles for potential sources of inspiration.

But wait—there's more from Tarantino. He talked about his work habits, explaining that now he writes "at home from 10 in the morning until 5, or 6 or 7." Then, he takes a nice soak in his pool, planning the next day's work.

Admittedly, he's been working like this since Inglourious Basterds. Neither Basterds nor Django Unchained are particularly aquatic movies. The water themes of both are underdevloped. Here's to hoping that Tarantino's next is a western with the visual flare of the Snorks.
