In an eco-friendly move, Starbucks had unleashed a new line of $1 reusable cups. The new cups will have interior lines for both "tall" and "grande" sizes, and are available in the U.S. and Canada as of yesterday. Starbucks has always supported reusable cups, but these new tumblers were created in the image of their paper brothers and sisters, all the way down to the logo.
A test program involving 6 Pacific Northwest Starbucks "boosted the number of reusable cups 26% in those stores last November, compared with the same month a year earlier," according to USA Today. Starbucks will offer a 10 cent discount on beverages when the cup is used.
