Guillermo Del Toro has chosen his next film. According to Deadline, the famed director/producer/screenwriter will be teaming up with Legendary Pictures to helm ghost story Crimson Peak. Though this project comes in addition to the handful of other projects he's working on now - Pacific Rim, Pinocchio, and upcoming vampire television show The Strain, amongst other things - it's not set to begin shooting until 2014, so there's a bit of time from now until then.
The film is being described by Del Toro himself as a very "set-oriented" horror story, "classical but at the same time modern take on the ghost story. It will allow me to play with the conventions of the genre I know and love, and at the same time subvert the old rules." Certainly sounds promising.
