After the Republican National Convention brought out Clint Eastwood to rally the geezers of the party to vote for Gov. Mitt Romney, the Democratic National Convention brought out star power of its own to rally the party's younger voters: Scarlett Johansson

Johansson, who was a champion of President Barack Obama last election, attempted to mobilize the youth by imploring them to make their voice heard by voting in November.

"In 2008, less than half of all eligible voters between the ages of 18 and 24 voted. Young America, why are we only speaking with half our voice when so many issues at stake here directly affect us?" Johansson stated. "You know who I'm voting for. I'm not going to tell you who to vote for. I'm here to ask you to commit to vote."

All jokes about Johansson's past flub about being BFFs with President Obama aside, the actress does have a point.
