Just over a year after President Barack Obama announced to the world that the U.S. military had killed Osama bin Laden, Hollywood is already putting the finishing touches on a film version of the manhunt and eventual raid that ended the life of the most notorious terrorist in history. Not only does director Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty recount the famous mission at bin Laden’s compound, but it also looks like it chronicles the years of intelligence leading up to it.

This short teaser doesn’t necessarily give us too much information on the plot or characters involved in the story, yet it’s still clear that a lot of thought and detail went into everything. Taking its cues from modern political thrillers like Green Zone, Zero Dark Thirty looks to give us a palpable intensity that accurately mimics the atmosphere of the actual events. We just can’t tell if this will be a piece of jingoistic propaganda or a tense thriller grounded in real world politics.

We’ll have our answer when Zero Dark Thirty hits theaters on December 19.
