When we think of Crytek, free-to-play social games aren't the first thing that come to mind. But that's exactly what they've created with Warface, announced at E3 this week.

To be fair, it's not your average social game. You're not going to be clicking on cows and harvesting your Facebook friends' corn. It's a hardcore, triple-A first person shooter, built on Crytek's powerful CryENGINE 3.

As a social game, Warface will encourage you to play with your friends, offering both PVP and PVE as well as constant content updates to keep things fresh.

Head to the game's official site to sign up for the closed beta and let us know what you think of the gameplay video above in the comments or on Twitter.
