Watching the Assassin's Creed 3 footage Ubisoft's showing at PAX East, I remembered all the things I love about the other games in the series. But it also reminded me that over the course of AC 2, Brotherhood and Revelations, things had begun to feel a little stale.
After seeing the game in action, there's no doubt in my mind that Assassin's Creed was in need of a change, and that the American Revolution is a perfect era for a new chapter in the saga.
The demo started with the new assassin, Connor, on the Americans' side of the infamous Battle of Bunker Hill, a commander barking not to shoot "until you see the whites of their eyes." It wasn't long, though, before he made his way behind enemy lines to take out his high-ranking redcoat target.
