Marvel comics announced today that from here on out its packaging a free digital version with each physical comic it sells. So the next time you pick up a $4 comic from your local comic book shop, you'll get a code that'll enable you to download that sucker on your smartphone, iPad or Kindle.
It's a smart and consumer-friendly gesture on Marvel's part and the latest sign that the comics industry is handling the digital transition better than most.
