A new-year message on the Square-Enix blog announced that Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics has a new, original game in the works. The message stressed the studio's desire to expand and innovate in the future.
"Not only will our team be eating, sleeping, and breathing Tomb Raider, but we’ll also be hard at work preparing to reveal exciting new intellectual property to the world."
Given that Tomb Raider is slated for 2012, the new game will most sport a 2013 release date. Still this is exciting news for CD, especially when you consider that this will be the studio's first non-Tomb Raider title since Project Snowblind in 2005.
