There are some nasty rumors coming out of Sony of Japan yesterday regarding the Last Guardian project. Eurogamer is reporting that the creative lead on the project has quit Sony. Fumito Euda, who was the driving force behind classic PlayStation titles such as Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. He is supposedly still working on the project as a freelance worker in order to see the project through to its finish. Once the project is completed, Euda will be working on personal projects.

Things don’t sound good over in the Last Guardian camp and this could explain why the title was missing from the Tokyo Game Show. If there is any shining light on the situation and that is the fact that Ueda is willing to finish the project. Sony is remaining mum on the subject at this time.
