It's not Jack Donaghy, but it's close – at the Mayor's Award for Arts & Culture in NYC last night, Alec Baldwin joked that he might be planning on running for mayor at one point when introducing co-host and current NYC mayor, Michael Bloomberg.

For the opening skit, Baldwin grabbed the microphone and introduced himself as mayor, saying, "As your mayor, I am delighted to see so many wonderful arts supporters gathered together." Bloomberg soon got on stage and demanded what Baldwin was doing, to which the actor replied that he hadn't said "current" mayor.

Speculation has been running rampant recently about whether or not Baldwin has political aspirations, especially since making appearances at the Occupy Wall Street protests and engaging in a Twitter "war" with Democratic state senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos about the millionaire's tax.

Cool, but, what about 30 Rock?
