After losing its star, Bradley Cooper, due to scheduling conflicts with Paradise Lost earlier this year, the somewhat anticipated reboot of The Crow is now without director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, according toTwitch. Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) came aboard the project after the original director, Stephen Norrington, dropped out, but now he too has ditched The Crow to possibly take over the directorial duties on Summit's reboot of Highladner.
Although there is no director or star at the moment, The Crow is still happening and the hunt for a new director is on. Twitch is reporting that Relativity Media is looking at Before the Fall'sF. Javier Gutierrez to take over the reigns, but nothing is finalized yet.
This is the latest setback for the Crow franchise, which has seen death, creative differences, and box office failures hamper the future of the series. Apparently no one is taking the hint that the world has simply moved on from goth vigilantes draped in tight leather.
