After Apple released its much-heralded, faster, thinner, lighter iPad 2 at the same price as the outgoing model, Motorola has announced that it will be releasing the wi-fi-only version of its Xoom tablet for $599 on March 27. While still higher than the iPad 2's $499 entry price, the 32GB wi-fi model almost perfectly matches the $599 wi-fi only iPad 2 configuration.
We'll have to wait and see if it's enough to sway future tablet buyers.
