It sounds like MoStack’s had a bit of a rough time of it lately. Just a couple of months after he cursed so-called friends who weren’t there for him on “Fake Fake Fake”, he’s now back with “Can’t Forgive” where he washes his hands of romance after having his heart broken one too many times.
Produced by TSB with additional production from Rxwntree, it’s a jazzy, melancholic number with hints of Afroswing and R&B swirling around together while he admonishes the girl that broke his heart that final time. For the visuals, he’s kept things pretty straightforward, switching between scenes at a luxury villa, the block, and a few quick scenes at one of his live shows.
With last year’s High Street Kid 2 still fresh in our minds, it’s good to see MoStack wasted no time getting back in the booth. This may be just the second release since that project, and no doubt these are just loosies for now, but he’s already on a bit of a roll this year.
