It’s hard to keep up with new tracks every week. With a bevy of songs being released every day, we made a list highlighting some new tracks from Canadian artists.
Killy, “Y?”
Killy’s “Y” might be the closest thing he’s released to a club anthem. With a catchy chorus full of questions and braggadocious verses, this new track is destined to be played infinitely during late-night drives. It’s the official single for the Crazy Life of Sin EP.
MikeZup, “30 Shots”
“30 Shots,” the opening track to the Quebecois rapper’s latest album Little Bro sets the scene with a brooding, borderline-insulting verse that invites his enemies to merely even think about going after him.
Paydro 66, “Die Young”
Paydro 66’s “Die Young” sounds like the closing theme of a doomed superhero whose death is on the horizon. Thankfully, the Montreal rapper’s trajectory seems to be going the opposite way with his biggest days still yet to come.
Sadboi, “U Dun Kno”
Sadboi’s “U Dun Kno” flew under our radar in mid-November but thanks to a bombastic video and undeniable flow, it’s easily one of the best Canadian tracks of the month.
Naiim f/Phinisey, “Twice”
Naiim’s been working hard and he doesn’t want anyone to think differently of him. His goal is to provide for his family and the chip on his shoulder won’t disappear until he’s reached the heights he believes he’s fated to reach.
SVDP f/Ilxnsei, “Rush”
“Rush” from Tamil-Canadian artist SVDP (formerly Shan Vincent de Paul) sounds like a quintessential Toronto track featuring a nocturnal bouncy beat with a chorus reminiscent of The Weeknd’s Kiss Land days.
