Later this year, UK Afrobeats pioneer Maleek Berry will release his long-awaited debut album, If Only Love Was Enough.

This marks the beginning of yet another new chapter for the multi-disciplinary artist and, after featuring on on “Feel Different” with Reekado Banks and Adekunle Gold earlier this month, he officially kicks it all off with the album’s first single, “My Way”.

Running alongside the track is a fresh set of visuals. Shot on film, it finds the Clapham-hailing star in a playful mood, starting as a Stetson-sporting cowboy, then as a bell hop, a cashier in a supermarket, and a postman, all unified in their infatuation with the various women of their dreams. Surreal, beautifully executed, and laced with a charm and playfulness to pierce through any pretension, it’s Maleek Berry through and through.

“I’m excited to be back with a brand new visual for my fans,” Maleek tells Complex. “Some of my favourite videos have been shot on film, so we wanted to give my fans a taster into the next era of my music with the video ‘My Way’, the first offering from my forthcoming debut album.”

While we wait to hear more about the album, hit play on the new video up top and be sure to add “My Way” to all your playlists.
