Last year, Kid Antoine's Proximity EP catapulted him into notoriety with its bittersweet iciness and futuristic, metallic melodies. Now he's back with an A/B single for Her Records, Bodypaint / Flood Control, which is due to land on February 8. The B-side, "Flood Control", sees Kid Antoine take a more direct approach to club music, punctuating the viscous melodies and oppressive atmospherics with a driving kick drum and some playful synth patterns. In addition to the two original productions, the single also features a remix of "Bodypaint" by Swing Ting affiliate DJ Florentino, who adds a Columbia-meets-UK twist to the original.
