Two years on from his last project, When Life Presents Obstacle, South London artist Louis Culture shares his latest EP, I Can’t Wait To See U Again.

At six tracks, the new project’s a little more trim that his previous drop, but it sees Louis expand in other ways. For this one, he stretches beyond the confines of rap to take in everything from R&B to indie, and even flex his singing chops.

Joining him on his journey are collaborators Dom Valentino, Jim Reed, Earbuds, samo, Alex Cosmo Blake, Callum Waddington, Darryl Dodoo, Not DVR and Elijah Waters. Curating the whole thing himself, both in the booth and on the boards, Louis also handles sole production on “Mannequin”.

Running alongside the EP is the video for Not DVR collab “Hide Your Pills”. For that one, Conor Pritchard handles director duties, capturing the overwhelming trudge of modern life buried beneath 24-hour news cycles and the onslaught of misery and destruction we all face.

Taking to Twitter, Louis Culture describes the EP as his “best work because I feel like I got back to the things that make me, me. Obstacle… was great but I was rapping too much, like too much, when I have such range. I just wanted to tell my story, really. ICWTSUA, I think, is the best of me, or my range even; it’s not about rapping, really, but great songwriting and arrangement.”
