Kojey Radical 'Reason To Smile'

After much hype, a generous handful of pre-release singles, and a heartwarming video of his mum getting her hands on the first copy, Kojey Radical’s debut album, Reason To Smile, has arrived.

The LP was first announced back in November, confirming what we suspected after the release of “War Outside” with Lex Amor, and then “Gangsta” a few weeks later. The day before the release of Reason To Smile—which builds on the vision set by his widely-loved mixtapes 23WintersIn Gods Body and Cashmere Tears—Kojey shared another highlight: “Talkin”, with Kelis and Tiana Major9—a jumpy, distorted rap slammer purpose-built for moshpits.

As for the rest of the features, Kojey’s called on Masego, Shae Universe, Cashh, Knucks, Wretch 32, Shakka, Ego Ella May, and Rexx Life Raj to join him on the 15-tracker.

Equally, he’s sourced his instrumentals from an extensive roll call of producers, many of them from his close circle of frequent collaborators, including Swindle, Venna, 169, Cadenza, Blue Lab Beats, Ric & Thadeus, KZ, Jay Weathers, Cameron Palmer, Ed Thomas, Emil Larbi, Adrian Francis, The Fanatix, Remedee, iO, Owen Cutts, and Jay Prince.
