Lil Reese's road to recovery is apparently going well.

The Chicago-born rapper returned to Instagram Live on Friday, just days after he was hospitalized with a serious gun wound. Reese—legal name Tavares Taylor—was reportedly shot in the neck Monday afternoon in Cook County. He was eventually transferred from the South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest to the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. At the time, a spokeswoman for Advocate Christ said the rapper was in serious condition.

Reese's recent Instagram broadcast shows him sitting in a car bumping throwback tunes, which suggest he has been released from the hospital. Though he didn't say a single word during the IG Live session, Reese appears to be doing pretty well. Thousands of fans tuned into the broadcast, and shared messages of support.

"I knew you would pull through, my boi," one user commented.

"CAN'T BE STOPPED," another wrote.

At around 2:30 p.m. Monday, Country Club Hills responded to reports of a shooting that occurred at the intersection of 167th Street and Pulaski Road. Witnesses reportedly told authorities that the wounded man—who was later identified as Reese—was being pursued in a car chase. At one point, the man who was allegedly driving the other vehicle got out of his car and opened fire on Reese before fleeing the scene.

According to WGN9, Reese was nowhere to be found when law enforcement arrived, but they did find a car with blood on the driver's seat on the ground near the vehicle. Officers eventually located Reese at the hospital.

As of Friday evening, no arrests have been made. The assailant's vehicle was described "as a white or gray Chevy Malibu, with tinted windows and a Wisconsin license plate."
