As a self-proclaimed superhero, it seems reasonable that The Incredibles resonated deeply with Kanye West. In fact, the artist felt so connected to the film that it convinced him to fully commit to his wife's life as a reality star and conduct his first Keeping Up With the Kardashians testimonial.

In the Season 16 premiere, Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian struggle to combat accusations that Kanye does not support his Donda House organization. In May 2018, fellow Chicagoian and close collaborator Rhymefest took to Twitter with claims that Kanye has strayed away from his plans to turn his childhood home into a community arts incubator ran by his DONDA company. This came after Drake attacked West and Pusha-T on "Duppy Freestyle" in which Drizzy tells Pusha to inform his G.O.O.D. Music boss that he's going to invoice 'Ye for the album sales this beef brought to the label.

While Pusha-T seemed unphased, telling OVO to send an invoice that Drake's team promptly mocked up, Rhymefest took things a little deeper. The co-writer of "Jesus Walks" used Drake's bars to load his own shots at 'Ye, asking Drizzy to help "us rebuild Kanye’s mothers house for the youth of Chicago. I spoke to Kanye about it. His response was ‘fuck the youth of Chicago.'"

Sorry to all of my followers for flooding my timeline I know you have no idea who Rhymefest is.

With her husband being attacked from all angles, Kim Kardashian entered the mix to defend her husband. She sent off a flurry of tweets that criticized Rhymefest's handling of their community-driving art company DONDA as well as misrepresenting his relationship with Kanye.

This led to the disbandment of the Donda's House extension of West's DONDA brand.

Though The Incredibles 2 isn't centered on community philanthropy, Kanye told producers that the Disney flick is the reason for his appearance.

"This interview is because of the movie The Incredibles," Kanye said. "It starts off with the interviews. The superheroes are giving interviews. The wife got a big butt—and I just see out life becoming more and more like The Incredibles until we can finally fly."

Along with Kanye's abstract reasoning, the first episode of KUWTK touches on Kanye and Kim's upcoming child as well as Kourtney's fight to regain her footing after a difficult breakup.
