Joey Badass has announced the launch of a new record label.

The label, Badmind, also shared its first release. "Proud to announce the launch of my label #Badmind," Badass told fans. "First single from my first artist drops tonight on all streaming platforms. Stay tuned for more." That single, NAO Quelly's "Mo Betta," is now available wherever you stream music. And in case you're wondering, the launch of Badmind will not affect Badass' relationship with the Pro Era team.

Badass is fresh off the release of a pair of Beast Coast collective singles, including the Tonight Show-performed "Left Hand." The group is also soon set to launch its Escape From New York Tour.

His most recent solo album was 2017's All-Amerikkkan Badass, a 12-track release he followed with a return to USA's Mr. Robot. Speaking with Billboard that year, series creator Sam Esmail said he was a "huge fan" of Badass prior to casting him in the role of Leon.

"I loved the filmmaking of [his music videos], but obviously I also loved his music and started to listening to all of it," he said. "In the first season, I wanted him for something—I don't even know what it was—and I told my casting director to just track him down and reach out to him to see if he was even interested in acting."

Though a season 1 collab ultimately didn't come to pass, Esmail doubled down during season 2 planning and was finally able to bring Badass into the fold.
