Premiere: Greenwich Rapper DC Returns After Almost A Year With Introspective "Dock City"

It seems as if DC is ready to make 2019 his own and we're all the way here for it.

DC burst onto the scene in 2015 with tracks like "Local" and "Gleaming", turning heads with his cheeky bars, laid-back flow and ear for production, having performed songs like "Strong" over Daniel Beddingfield's "Gotta Get Through This". He then went on to release his debut EP, What's The Debate?, garnering 500,000 streams, supporting J Hus on tour, before going quiet in 2018, save for a COLORS session and sole single of the year in "No Manners".

Now fresh into the new year and back with a bang, DC returns with his new single "Dock City", a nod to his hometown of Greenwich, South East London, known for its famous docks. In the track, he talks about his experiences growing up and questions his faith, while the title also reveals itself to be the origin of his name. Citing fans in Stormzy and AJ Tracey, and with a new EP on the way, it seems as if DC is ready to make 2019 his own and we are all the way here for it.

Speaking with Complex via email, DC explained: "'Dock City' provides an insight into me, what I stand for and where I come from. It's vital for me to show people what the foundation is and why I talk about the things I talk about from a really important, and sometimes unheard, perspective."
