After previously joking that he had "dropped out of SoundCloud Uni" to do so, Lil Xan has entered rehab.

Xan's girlfriend, Annie, shared a pair of updates via Instagram on Xan's behalf announcing the rehab check-in over the weekend. "This sweet angel of mine officially entered rehab this morning," she said Sunday, adding that she was "sorry for all the confusion" regarding Xan/Diego's check-in date. PerTMZ, a "mix-up" with other patients staying in the undisclosed facility longer than expected caused Xan's own check-in date to be moved around.

"I'm so beyond proud of this precious boy for being the strongest person I know and for wanting to live a better life," Annie said. "Please keep him in your prayers. He is doing his best right now to find peace with himself."

In a separate post, Annie said that Xan had just been admitted for his first treatment. "He will be back soon, with another top 10 album," she added.

The rehab decision was first announced last month. In a since-deleted Instagram message at the time, Xan told fans that he "couldn't be happier" with the decision and was excited to finish his next album "clean headed." Later, elaborated on why he wanted to enter rehab.

"Mostly hydrocodone or just, like, norcos is what they call 'em," he toldTMZ. "Right now, opioid. Basically a lot of opioids. I've been way worse in the past. I've actually been 10 times worse than what I've been now. I want to do rehab just so I can get over this last hump or stretch so I can finally be just back to Diego." Once he exits rehab, he said, he plans to go by "DIEGO" instead of Lil Xan.
