Rihanna Bringing 'Immersive' Savage x Fenty Show to New York Fashion Week

Rihanna's Savage x Fenty show will mark New York Fashion Week's unofficial closer. Though exact location and details haven't been announced, the show is set for a Brooklyn staging next month.

Rihanna is promising an "immersive experience" with her Savage x Fenty runway presentation next month.

On Sept. 12, a Savage x Fenty showcase of "lingerie and intimate accessories" will hit New York Fashion Week. The event is slated for 7:30 p.m. at an as-yet-unrevealed Brooklyn location and will serve as NYFW's unofficial closer, according to a report from Vogue. The new collection will be immediately available online following the show. Additionally, multiple pop-ups—including one at the Mall of America—will subsequently launch.

Savage x Fenty lingerie launched back in May and proved to be an immediate hit. Upon opening of the web shop, the high traffic caused many customers to be queued for more than an hour. The initial collection hit at an affordable price point, with lace bras going for $24 and corsets at $89, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the next Savage x Fenty move.

Also going down later this year is the release of Peter Berg's Rihanna documentary. In a new interview with Slash Film, the Hancock director said he should be able to start screening the film in two months. "I think she's an extraordinary young woman and it really is kind of a pretty comprehensive profile of what goes in to making her this talent that she is," Berg said.
