It was nearly a year ago when entertainers, world leaders, and activists gathered in Central Park to take action against extreme poverty. The event was the annual Global Citizen Festival, and it included memorable performances by Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Coldplay, and Major Lazer. It also celebrated the $1.9 billion in total commitments and announcements that would benefit various campaigns for gender equality, education, and sanitation.

Today, Complex Networks and Global Citizen announce a new film called Louder Together: A Global Citizen Documentary; New York to Mumbai that gives fans an unprecedented look at last year’s festival. The two-part documentary, which will premiere on go90.com and the go90 app on Sept. 13, is narrated by actor Hugh Jackman and includes footage of musical sets as well as interviews with the artists. You can watch a trailer for the film above.

“In 2016 Global Citizens on different sides of the world—in New York and Mumbai—transformed their cities into arenas of advocacy in the fight to end extreme poverty,” Hugh Evans, CEO of Global Citizen, said in a press release. “The energy, passion, and determination we see throughout Louder Together exemplifies the heart of this movement. We are so proud to be partnering with Complex and Hyde Park to be able to tell this story and highlight the impact of this movement.”

The film was directed by Ryan Gall and Marcus Haney, and was executive produced by Jackman, Evans, Ashok Amritraj, and Craig Galvin.

The 2017 Global Citizen Festival will take place Sept. 23 on Central Park’s Great Lawn. Performers will include Pharrell, Stevie Wonder, the Chainsmokers, and Big Sean. You can learn more about the annual festival at Global Citizen’s website.
