Bobby Shmurdawas once again in court today and it now sounds like his new lawyer, Alex Spiro, is trying to go on the offensive in the case. According to Fader, Spiro requested that all of the files and reports associated with Shmurda's stops and arrests by the NYPD be turned over to his team. Additionally, he reportedly asked for background files on all of the officers involved in the case be put into the discovery file. "Absence of evidence [recovered during these stops] is evidence," Spiro said in court.

While Shmurda's trial is scheduled to begin on Feb. 22, Judge James Burke granted the GS9 rapper another new bail hearing on Jan. 19. Shmurda has already been denied bail multiple times in this case, and it's unclear if he'll have any better luck this time around. Spiro declined a comment to Complex about the case.
