After the strange SXSW scuffle between Run The Jewels and on onstage assailant, Killer Mike revealed that he flew back to Atlanta to see his doctor. In case you missed it, a man ran up on stage to seemingly confront El-P during a song performance, and Killer Mike got involved. At that point, the man appeared to fight everyone back until security knocked him down.
RTJ returned to Austin for Stubb's BBQ to perform again, and when it came to "Banana Clipper" (the song during which the original attack happened), El-P addressed the incident: "Last time we did this song, it was interrupted. Let's not let that happen again." "If you interrupt this song we'll beat the fuck out of you," noted Killer Mike.
According to NME, Mike adds, he flew home to Atlanta for medical attention after the attack. The doctor diagnosed him with a torn rotator cuff. Despite his doctor's suggestion, and to the great appreciation of the crowd, Mike refused to use a sling: "I was like, doctor, I'm not leaving the road - the tour goes on!"
