Nicki Minaj made history this week when her new single, "Anaconda," entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 19. This was her 51st entry onto the Hot 100 chart in her career, which counts as a new record as Nicki passes Michael Jackson, who currently sits at 50 entries.
How was Nicki able to catch MJ so quickly? Well, Billboard now counts featured appearances along with solo songs on the chart, thus Nicki rapidly collected the hits to pass MJ. Nicki also currently has the most Hot 100 hits for a female rapper in the history of the chart. She reacted to the good news on Twitter, which you can see below. Nicki will be debuting the highly-anticipated video for "Anaconda" early next week before she performs the song live at the 2014 MTV VMAs from Los Angeles on August 24.
