Jeff Goldblum with a fake dinosaur

In 2015, a report said that "Scientists Say They Can Recreate Living Dinosaurs Within the Next 5 Years." In June, that statement will hit the four-year mark, meaning "scientists" will have a mere 12-72 months to put the f up on this subject (we say 72 because the actual quote was five-to-ten years). That article was relying on the testimony of a group of Harvard/Yale scientists burdened with the all-important task of reverse evolving chickens into the danger lizards of epochs past.

Regardless, even if it takes longer than 2020 or 2025 to do so, it's still only a matter of time before the re-populating of dinos becomes fodder for ethical arguments, presidential debates, questions about disrupting ecosystems, or some other such sh*t. However, prior to yea or nay on manmade dinosaurs becoming a partisan position, Jeff Goldblum has stepped up with his two cents, with his fictitious specialization in chaos theory providing all the credibility needed here. He did so with an ominous quote he once uttered on-screen in a blockbuster, and which is certain to be both pointed at by future historians and utilized in the modern day by aggregate media sites. Also it went viral:

Also people/Goldblum fans seemed to really like it:

There are 5 movies that perfectly illustrate why this is a bad idea

No, there is one movie that perfectly shows that, and four movies making the case against sequels.

That's seven out of roughly 4,600 similar responses/GIF usages (in addition to about 50 oddly serious ones revolving around keeping the genie in the bottle). Anyway, keep an eye out for his cautionary thoughts on this story within the next 18 months or so.
