Facebook won't let voters get left behind this eventful (to say the least) election season now that it's signed on to livestream presidential debates between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for the first time in history. So no, not having cable isn't a valid excuse anymore to not watch the debates, plus it'll give users reason to dust off their Facebook accounts.
ABC News announced it's partnering with Facebook to broadcast the upcoming four debates—including three presidential ones—the first of which is Sept. 26. Users will be able to access the livestream on desktop and on mobile in case they're on the go. Even better, users will be able to livestream and watch the debates without having to skip through pesky ads. The debates will also be on ABCNews.com/live and the ABC News app. According toVariety, Facebook will also livestream watching parties and plans to incorporate viewer comments and questions.
Those not catching the debates on Facebook can watch live on CBS, CNN, C-SPAN, Fox, Fox News, MSNBC, and NBC.
