Jared Fogle, who most of you know as Jared from Subway, has called on no one other but the president himself to get him out of federal prison.

In case you weren’t aware, the former sandwich poster boy was locked up on child pornography charges.  The 40-year-old is currently serving a 15-year sentence he earned in 2015 for “possessing child pornography and traveling to pay for sex with minors.” However, that hasn’t stopped Fogel from petition a writ of habeus corpus, which in normal people speak, is an appeal for his jailer to set him free.

This isn’t Fogles first attempt at freedom, mind you. He’s made multiple appeals to judges, none of which have been a success (obviously). As TMZ reports, Fogle believes the conspiracy charge against him is trash and regrets having pled guilty. He claims that he was pressured to do so by his own legal team and wants his plea withdrawn. Fogel also asserts that the prosecution toyed with the charge to “create a crime,” and capitalized on the fact that he risked bankruptcy if he didn’t plead guilty.

Before you write this story off as the whacked out musings of some locked up pedo (which they most definitely are), Fogel actually included 45 as a respondent on the document he filed against the warden at FCI Englewood. He even included the White House address. So while his attempt at some kind of pardon (which would require a different document) will most likely be futile, Fogle isn’t screwing around.
