We're not sure what's going on with Shia LaBeouf these days, but there is some cause for concern. From plagiarism and plagiarised apologies for plagiarism, to tales of his acid dropping and hallucinations, to a recent incident where he headbutted someone in a bar, LaBeouf has been making headlines for his odd behavior and comparisons have been made to other train-wreck stars including Charlie Sheen and Amanda Bynes.

Amidst the craziness, LaBeouf has asserted that he is no longer famous and has been pushing his creative projects outside of acting. According to Defamer, the actor has been looking for a gallery space to host a performance in early February as a part of something called the "Metamodernist Manifesto." Defamer posted the correspondence between LaBeouf and an anonymous Los Angeles gallery he allegedly contacted. In the conversation, LaBeouf explained that he wants to "repent in the way of the Middle Ages" for seven days. We have no idea what that means, but it doesn't sound like a fun experience. He also said that he will be wearing a mask to the Berlin Film Festival premier of Nymphomaniac to promote the performance. The gallery declined because of a scheduling conflict, but there are a lot of galleries in Los Angeles and the actor is supposedly contacting them all.

We really hope that this is all true and that some gallery offers up their space for Shia and records the entire week of repentance. We'd watch that over Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull any day.
